FWA Programs

FWA Programs include those opportunities for self-improvement, helping other members and giving back to the community. Here a list of our current offerings.

Giving Back

Financial Backpack

Financial Literacy / Backpack

There’s no better time than right now to give back to the community by volunteering to teach young adults how to be financially savvy. The Financial Backpack program is a great way for members to become involved in one of the FWA’s premier outreach programs. FWA volunteers can participate in one or more sessions, as their time permits, and training is offered for those who would like to try it out for the first time. Volunteers love the program, because not only do they give back to young adults, but they also sharpen their presentation skills when teaching the curriculum.

Mentoring - Baruch College

Our high school and college mentoring programs have been in place for over 30 years and provide future women leaders with the opportunity to receive long-standing and committed support from professional women in both one-on-one and group environments. Mentoring on the high school and college levels allow mentors to give back to the community by helping students build skills necessary for career advancement. In return, mentors benefit from sharing knowledge, developing leadership skills, and by strengthening their interpersonal skills, which can ultimately re-energize one’s career.
